March 1, 2011
Bloomington Daymakers
Rotary Club & BUY Bloomington United for Youth

Dear Bloomington Area Businessperson:

Are you in need of summer or weekend employees? Have you considered the value of hiring high school students?

The Bloomington Daymakers Rotary Club coordinates a project to help young people locate employment. Because teens are an important focus for our service organization, we are sponsoring the 2010 Bloomington Teen Job Fair.

Saturday, April 16, 2011

Bloomington Civic Plaza (lobby area)

• 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Last year over 300 high school students attended
• A table for you to promote your business and meet potential employees is available!

Please check out our blog at www.twincitiesyouthjobfair.blogspot.com. In addition to information about Job Fair 2010 you’ll find information related to hiring youth. You’ll also see information designed to be helpful to young people as they learn how to seek work. Past Job Fairs have had over 20 employers in attendance! Students filled out applications, scheduled interviews---some were interviewed on the spot.

This is a perfect time for you to fill your open positions, internships or seasonal positions with local teens. If you would like to reserve a table or simply would like to learn more, please contact me at dbgeisler@mac.com or on my cell phone- 612-801-5152.

We would also appreciate hearing from you if you have ideas for how the Bloomington Daymakers Rotary Club can help you realize the opportunities that occur when hiring high school young people.

Sincerely,

Dwight Geisler
